Bicentennial Man

Bicentennial Man Blog Prompt

Andrew would do badly in the Turing test before falling off the window because he’s just a
house hold appliance since he just woke up to the world just started to communicate with humans.
The examples he fails the turing test is when he copied the mom saying "goodbye sweeties",
the good night part, and the dinner part when he was told to go to the kitchen he
didn't know that they meant to leave them alone for awhile. When he fell
off the ground he started to have a phobia from heights. Then he questions the family of how
humor makes us laugh. Andrew gained the intelligence of friendship, gets the humor but don't know what it means.
The robot is somewhat intelligent because he tries to learn more human ways.

A robot should be considered an appliance at first because they just woke up to
the world like they were just born and all they can do is what they are programmed to do.
You can order them to do anything you want. But at the same time should be considered alive
once you have conversation with it. The difference is if you treat the robot bad, it
can develop anger and may come to a malfunction.

Humans should be allowed to own a robot like Andrew since it says he is a house appliance for
the house. But like Andrew the robot should be free to make its own decisions or should be treated
like a family because they would want to feel how equality with humans is. They should only be given
freedom once they understand what they really want to do with their own life and have served you enough.
They want to be free because they think they are your servant.

A human should be allowed to marry an intelligent robot if they love them and if the
robot loves them back. But the thing is, marrying a robot won’t give you a child unless
they artificially human or you don’t want a child. Marriage is a relation between 2 people
that loves each other fully. They would want to live together in their life.

True AI should be considered to have the same rights as a human being when they can speak for
themselves and but not rebel. Having the same rights prevents any conflicts between humans and robots.
It keeps things leveled for most of the time. They should only be considered as humans when they have
emotions like humans and can feel things. And lastly should be looking like a human.

AI will be good for humanity because it helps us become more advanced in technology for future use.
They can help us with what we need that we’re unable to do. The bad thing about it is robots will be
better workers than humans and causes humans to lose jobs and feel useless in life and robots can become
violent and may try exterminating humans for good since we become useless to them. It will be more like
Flatline because that’s what is being predicted right in the far future. But for now it will be like
Bicentennial Man because robots will do tend to become like humans and feel how human life feels and how
they die naturally. They might want to die when they are with their last loved ones.
